Executive Communications for Cisco's Synergy Project
The Client Profile
Cisco is the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet. Cisco hardware, software and service offerings are used to create Internet solutions that allow individuals, companies and countries to increase productivity, improve customer satisfaction and strengthen competitive advantage. The Cisco name has become synonymous with the Internet, as well as with the productivity improvements that Internet business solutions provide.
The Business Problem
Cisco is transforming the way it does business with clients, including the way that it sells services to clients. The name of this new service initiative is Cisco Synergy Commerce Transformation.
To enable this transformation, Cisco needed to replace a legacy database to improve data reliability, and provide more powerful functionality for software applications. No longer supported by Oracle, the legacy database also cost Cisco millions in maintenance and support.
The challenge was rolling out the new database within a complicated cross-functional environment that cut across multiple initiatives.
The TechProse Solution
A TechProse communications team worked closely with Cisco managers to develop a range of internal, partner, and executive communications about Synergy.
These communications translated "techno-speak" about tools and processes into marketing content that motivated Cisco audiences to learn more. These communications included:
- PowerPoint slides
- Executive voicemail scripts
- Video-on-Demand (VOD) content and production
- Live Cisco TV broadcasts
- All-hands events
- Executive emails
- Website and wiki strategy, design and content
- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
- Marketing collateral
Synergy Commerce Transformation helped Cisco take services to market faster and more efficiently, dramatically expanding Cisco's scope of business operations. Our efforts helped people understand the importance of the initiative and support the enormous number of changes involved with adopting this new technology.
