Web-Based Solution for Ongoing Business Management
General Electric Power Systems (GEPS) needed a way for both internal staff and customers to access information regarding transactions, including order status, order processing, parts catalogues, product selection, installation scheduling, maintenance history, service requests and history, configuration management, and more. Both internal and external customers are globally distributed.

These events indicated potential fragilities within the technology center. Oracle Financials Project Management
Landor had begun the process of replacing its existing accounting software package, selecting Oracle Financials and an outside consulting firm, with the intention of rolling out the new application to its offices across the US and internationally. However, deficiencies with the initial implementation became apparent, making month-end financial closes impossible. Landor asked TechProse to help get the implementation back on track.

  • TechProse provided a Visual FoxPro developer to convert a FoxPro application to Oracle.
  • TechProse provided a senior BEA consultant to both act as a mentor to internal staff, and to map internal requests for information through the middleware in a BEA Mercator, Tuxedo, UNIX, Oracle, COBOL, Mainframe environment.
  • Tech Prose assisted a client who was developing an Intranet site for multiple departments. We developed a series of static and dynamic web pages using HTML, DHTML, and JAVA.
