Case Study: Goal Setting E-Learning for Logitech

The Client Profile
Founded in 1981 in Apples, Switzerland, Logitech designs personal peripherals to provide a more intuitive way of interacting with personal computers. The company is a leader in the design of computer mice - as well as other products - and has reinvented the mouse in new ways to meet the needs of computer users.

E-Learning & Training

The Business Problem
Logitech was rolling out a new Planning, Performance, and Development (PP&D) process and system for its global workforce. This new process and system would allow them to align company goals with development plans for all employees.

They had launched a series of initiatives to train their managers on the new PP&D process, but the company also wanted to develop uniform training for as many as 2,000 employees in Asia, Europe, and the United States.

Logitech was committed to developing a program that would inform and educate their target audience. The company invested a great deal of time and effort to ensure everyone understood the new processes.

The TechProse Solution
TechProse designed and delivered a series of e-learning modules for Logitech employees that encouraged them to think about how they could improve their performance. Topics covered included goal setting, development plans, and performance check-ups.

After the first two modules were launched, Logitech found that not only were employees gaining valuable information from the modules, but managers were also using the e-learning to clarify concepts and processes.

TechProse factored this feedback into the design of the remaining modules, and developed them to target employees' and managers' needs.

The modules guided the learner through typical scenarios and used self-check exercises to reinforce the learning. TechProse expanded its services to other groups within Logitech following the success of these modules.
