The Client Profile
Safeco Insurance, with headquarters in Seattle, Washington, offers a mix of auto, homeowners and small-business insurance policies throughout the United States. Safeco’s most visible product is personalized service and support when a customer files a claim – whether it’s a fender-bender or the loss of a home.
The Business Problem
PricewaterhouseCoopers was the consultant hired by Safeco for their PeopleSoft implementation. As the implementation proceeded, questions arose as to the best methodology to train a diverse array of corporate and remote personnel on the new system. PwC asked TechProse to perform a Training Analysis to determine the best path forward for training development and delivery.
The TechProse Solution
TechProse interviewed user representatives from a variety of levels and functional groups within Safeco. We also reviewed existing materials, and investigated what training had been successful in the past and where Safeco had encountered problems. TechProse delivered a detailed set of recommendations which recommended a blended approach of instructor-led introductions, hands-on labs, and e-learning to support the implementation, as well as recommendations for tools and timeline to complete the project.
