Sierra Mountain Express provides trucking and transportation services which transports 600,000 primarily new (and some used) cars, per year, across the United States. Sierra uses open or closed transports with a variety of options for mass vehicle transportation.

The Business Problem
Sierra Mountain Express needed assistance in defining requirements and metrics to recertify to ISO 2000. They had no internal resources to draw upon to tackle this mission, so they asked TechProse for assistance.

The TechProse Solution
TechProse created a framework to describe core business functions, identifying the processes that support each function. TechProse developed a process map using the ISO 2000 standard to match to current processes. This allowed Sierra to easily spot elements which did not apply. This tool made it easy to factor in the audit results to ensure the process map addressed the necessary corrective actions. TechProse and Sierra used this information to develop a final Quality Management draft report. As a result, Sierra was successfully ISO 2000 certified.
