Case Study: Policies & Procedures

The Client Profile
Since 1852, the Wells Fargo stagecoach has been a symbol of reliable service across the American West. Wells Fargo connects corporate and individual customers to essential financial services 24 hours a day - by ATM, phone or personal computer, as well as through a growing network of traditional and supermarket branches. Wells Fargo is known for our efficiency and we pass the rewards along to our customers in the form of innovative products and services.

The Business Problem
Wells Fargo maintains and services a wide variety of internal computer systems and applications. In order to support and maximize these systems, as well as protect the integrity of data, the bank needed to develop usable, comprehensive, detailed security standards for these systems.

The TechProse Solution
TechProse works with engineers, system and network administrators and application developers to develop and update security standards for a number of these systems. The standard included procedures for login, password protection, session management, file management and other key security features. The final documents became the instructions for all Wells Fargo entities, agents, employees, contractors, and vendors involved in the development, implementation, and maintenance of these systems and/or applications.
